About Lael
Born and raised on Salt Spring Island. Lael developed an early connection to the lush landscapes and shorelines that continue to inspire her work. A graduate of Emily Carr University of Art + Design, she specializes in pen & ink drawing and digital illustration. Lael's work is a delicate balance between traditional techniques and intuitive design.
Her art incorporates the essence of flora and fauna, weaving in whimsical elements that reflect her playful spirit. Through delicate lines and thoughtful composition, she hopes to spark curiosity and cultivate a deeper appreciation for the viewer, towards the beauty and complexity of Mother Nature.
Expanding beyond paper, Lael brings her artistic vision to life through product design, wearable art, networking, digital media and collaborative partnerships- blending creativity to community connection.
